Just in time for Thanksgiving, volunteers Karen Abrams and Kat Arevalo fundraised and helped provided over 350 meals for those served at Catholic Charities. These delicious meals were prepared by the Brownstone and handed out with the help of over 2 dozen volunteers!

Over the last several weeks, we have extended our services to provide support for veterans experiencing emotional trauma, have given out over 7,000 cases of water to those experiencing a drinkable water shortage, have provided help for over 100 families displaced due to Hurricane Ida and have created hope for Afghanistan refugees.

For the 5th year, the Catholic Charities Family will be hosting our Outdoor Memorial Mass from the Department for Persons with Disabilities' Wiegand Farm in Oak Ridge. We will be livestreaming this mass and not hosting a large scale gathering. Our 2021 Virtual Caritas Gala will be held on November 13th. Honoring: Edward L. Hennessy Jr. (Bishops Award),  Celebrating 100 Years of Jazz Priest - Fr. Norman O'Connor & Recognizing the O'Connor Family (Straight and Narrow Award), Peyton Triano (CFCS Award), Celebrating 50 Years of Murray House & Recognizing Billy Ramirez and Robert Jaworski (DPD Award)

Straight and Narrow is the largest nonprofit Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation center in the country. We provide help and create hope for hundreds of individuals in recovery each day. September is National Recovery Month and we stand alongside the New Jersey Catholic Bishops’ recent statement.

Tropical Storm Ida swept through New Jersey on Wednesday, September 1st and we are here to help those most in need in our communities.

We are grateful beyond words to our volunteers who are working in coordination with us; Catholic Charities, Trenton; and other service groups to assist refugees at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst. Special thanks to Katryna who shared her story.

We will be helping Afghan refugees in Trenton and supporting our veterans who proudly served in Afghanistan.

On August 17, 1973 Walter Barton of the Department for Persons with Disabilities' Finnegan House in Jefferson Township saved the life of a newborn baby abandoned in our mailbox.

As the world watches the events unfolding in Afghanistan, we pray for those impacted, including every person who bravely served in Afghanistan and throughout the Middle East.
