On September 18th, Catholic Charities honored a series of DPD Heroes, those who have gone above and beyond during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Over a two week span, Bishop Sweeney Visited 20 of Catholic Charities' programs, attended a board of trustees meeting, and participated in Catholic Charities Caritas Samaritans Production.

Through the last months of his life, Catholic Charities was able to bring Rolando love, light and joy. Special thanks to Carlos Roldan for his incredible acts of kindness.

We are proud to partner with 4 other Passaic County agencies to help those in need reunite with family and friends.

The Governor featured Carlos on his September 14th briefing. Since the start of the pandemic Carlos has helped Catholic Charities' Food Pantries give out over 1,000,000 pounds of food.

Grace will be honored by NJACP on Friday, September 18th, for her selflessness.

We were proud to send 4 staff to assist with disaster relief in Louisiana.

Catholic Charities black-tie event, the Caritas Gala, will take on a virtual format this year, recognizing 8 Samaritans, individuals and organizations who have made a difference during the COVID-19 Pandemic

On September 3rd we shared a call for help for Gary, who is supported by our Gruenert Center Day Program. Within 3 days, generous donors answered the call, including Harry a young man with a big heart.

Congratulations to our Board President, Monsignor Herbert Tillyer, who on August 26th, had the campus at the Governor Paterson Towers dedicated in his honor!

On August 24, 2019, Catholic Charities, Straight and Narrow experienced 5-Alarm Fire. A year later, thanks to help from the community, the agency continues to provide a high level of support for those in recovery.

Football players from DePaul Catholic and Holy Cross joined Diane Macchia and a few other football moms to spread cheer to DPD Barnet House!
