Last night, the DePaul Catholic HS Football team along with the St. Vincent DePaul students hosted DPD residents from Barnet House, Fitzpatrick House, Basile Apartments and Kelleher Apartments for a Valentine’s Day celebration.

Straight and Narrow is committed to excellence. Recently CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) accreditors visited Straight and Narrow to provide a professional objective assessment.

The 49th Annual Murray House Dinner Dance was held on February 17th at the Brownstone in Paterson. This event benefited the Department for Persons with Disabilities (DPD).

Jennifer, who works at our Gruenert Center and happens to have an intellectual disability, donated her hair to "Locks of Love".

In the month of January clients from the men and women's residential program had the opportunity to participate in the high adrenaline activity of rock climbing at the New Jersey Rock Climbing Gym.

The Department for Persons with Disabilities recently received their reaccreditation from the Council on Accreditation (COA). DPD has been COA accredited since 1986.

We were proud to participate in Project Homeless Connect, a daylong, consumer focused, one-stop event designed to provide an array of resources and support to those experiencing homelessness in our Morris County community.

God of the prophets, God of Christ: we are reminded today that your blessings do not necessarily follow the logic of the world. We pray for a more just world. Help us to stand in solidarity with the oppressed and marginalized; show us your presence in the faces of those the world forgets. In a society divided so many labels we alone have created, remind us that we are created in your image, each of us a beautiful reflection of you, each of us your beloved child. AMEN
