While our programs have persevered on, Catholic Charities, Diocese of Paterson's Food Pantries and Emergency Support Programs have seen the largest increase in need and services provided.

The individuals at the Department for Persons with Disabilities have been sheltering in place throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. On July 16th friend's of Angie's from Barnet House, made her feel extra special with a 60th birthday celebration drive by.

On July 6, the Tompkins family, owners of JT’s Confections presented the Father English Food Pantry with a check for $3,000 to help with the added need for food during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Congrats to Jefferson Township High School Class of 2020 graduates Kailyn Kerr and Lea Mazzacano for receiving the annual Department for Persons with Disabilities scholarship.

Thank you to DPD volunteer Cathy Ritz and friends who volunteered their time at the Department for Persons with Disabilities, providing dozens of haircuts for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Members of OLMC’s Youth Ministry led the tremendously successful food drive. “Our high schoolers really motivated the entire community,” said Glen McCall, Director of OLMC’s Youth Ministry. “Two members of our group, Mac Dolan and Bryan Chan, collected donations from other teens and purchased carloads of food to deliver. It was an incredible effort by everyone.”

Supporting People with Disabilities and Honoring DPD's Heroes. COVID-19 has caused us to cancel our golf outing, but DPD's ministry perseveres on! 

Catholic Charities Diocese of Paterson, stands alongside Catholic Charities USA, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, and Pope Francis with their powerful recent statements on the murder of George Floyd and protests in cities and towns across our country.

The program, a partnership between all Catholic Charities agencies throughout New Jersey, will offer crisis counseling and supportive services for individuals who have been impacted by COVID-19

The annual Diocesan-wide food drive will give parishes, donors, friends, and organizations the option to give food virtually.

We are happy to announce the Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) has awarded Catholic Charities, Diocese of Paterson, an Immediate Service Program grant to create a new "NJ Hope and Healing" program that will provide crisis counseling services.
