Fight for the Right is the DPD’s client community service group that was formed in 2010. It was named by a DPD resident, and implies fighting for what is right by providing service and recognition to those in our local communities, nation and worldwide. The group is overseen by dedicated volunteer, Jenn Minervino.
Past projects include planting flowers at nursing homes, making get well cards for the sick, buying Christmas presents for children of domestic violence, donating Mother’s Day gifts to a pregnant women’s shelter, doing yard work and clean up at parks, creating centerpieces for a local women's club annual Easter brunch and participating in a Holocaust Museum’s butterfly memorial wall project.
They have also held several drives to provide food, supplies, funds and clothing to our military troops, veterans, first responders, food pantries, animal shelters, wildlife sanctuaries, and women in need of business attire for job interviews.
