The Hope House Food Pantry is open Monday-Thursday from 9:30am-1:00pm. Low income families and individuals are eligible to visit our “Consumer Choice” Food Pantry a maximum of two times each month. 

Non-perishable groceries and personal hygiene items are available year-round. During the harvesting seasons, fruits and vegetables are provided by Local Share, a non-profit organization located in northern NJ. The food pantry is staffed by caring volunteers, who assist the clients with the selection of groceries.

Approximately 65% of the food distributed annually at the pantry is donated by churches, businesses, schools, civic groups, and individuals. The Hope House Food Pantry is a member of the Community Food Bank of NJ, and we receive an additional 33% of our commodities (frozen, refrigerated and non-perishables) at no cost to our agency. The remaining 2% of the food distributed is purchased with supermarket gift cards received from generous donors who support the work of the food pantry.
