Hazel Yaptangco, MBA

Hazel Yaptangco serves as the Director of Development and Public Relations where she leads fundraising, development, and communications initiatives. With 20+ years of experience in nonprofit development, Hazel is committed to advancing the mission of Catholic Charities by executing a comprehensive strategy to secure financial resources and build support for vital programs that serve marginalized and vulnerable community members within the Diocese of Paterson. 

Hazel oversees community relations, special events, social media, public relations, donor cultivation, major gifts, and grant writing -- working closely with individual donors, sponsors, stakeholders, foundations, and volunteers to build and grow connections and collaborations. 

Hazel's experience includes development and advancement for Family Promise of Sussex County, Cornerstone Family Programs, Asian Institute of Management, and other mission-driven nonprofit organizations where she brought a strategic and compassionate approach to fundraising and a commitment to the values of faith, service, and community.

Hazel holds an MBA from the Asian Institute of Management and Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Ateneo de Manila, a Jesuit Catholic University. Hazel lives with her family in Oak Ridge.
